Las Vegas "The Home Of Gambling"
Planning a trip? here's the best time to go.
Las Vegas was built on the roll of the dice and the spin of the wheel and everywhere you go, day and night, the glittering casinos are in full swing. If your funds won't stretch to a game on the many tables then don't worry just stand back and watch the high rollers in action. If you think all hotels are the same, well think again. Las Vegas hotels are big, 2,000 - 5,000 rooms, think of Florida theme parks and you'll get the idea.
Vegas temperatures range from warm to hot to very hot, 115 degrees is not uncommon in summer. But don't worry, chill out in fully air-conditioned hotels and casinos. Thinking of a place to get married, 150 couples do that every day in Vegas at the many drive in chapels. Night life is a must, with every hotel trying to outdo the next with the latest and the greatest acts. Everything from trapeze artists, pop stars, magicians, full stage shows, to well, whatever you can imagine it will probably be appearing somewhere, and most shows are well within the budget of most travellers.
Las Vegas hotels provide food from another world, eat at the nitro restaurant at the Excalibur Hotel and you are eating with, as they say, "The Big Boys". If you have room for a desert after a 32oz steak then you're up there with the best of them. Most restaurants are moderately priced and the best deals can be hunted down in the hotels where its all-you-can-eat buffets with a staggering array of dishes.
Take time out to visit the famous Hoover Dam or the breathtaking Grand Canyon. Love chocolate, then a visit to Ethel M's chocolate factory where seeing the fab stuff being made is a must. A free taste is also a plus point of this tour. Bag a bargain in the hotel shopping malls or experience the thrills of the many theme park and 3d simulator rides dotted around the hotel complexes.
